Shall I tell you a secret? Even if at first he wants to see the ladies take their clothes off, once you take him to a few shows that will become old hat to him. My OH has been to so many shows with me now that ladies with very few clothes on no longer interest him in any way other than artistic. He sits and judges performers on their originality, skill and stage presence. I pointed this out to him a while ago - I have made him immune to boobs! Drag him to a few shows and he'll soon appreciate the art form over the half-naked ladies! ^_^

Here's hoping so....having a few body issues at the moment (losing weight-yey...losing boobs...booo) and he's not exactly being helpful. I'm optimistic that he'll embrace the talent aspects and the beauty of the tease!

Oh I know that one - men are rarely helpful when it comes to body issues! I think it's purely because they don't have the same ones as us and can't empathise. I know mine never knows what to say in case he says the wrong thing - ends up saying what he thinks I want to hear when I really want honesty ... ah well!

Being congruent can be difficult, especailly when the person you are supposed to be truthful with is someone you have a desire to protect. The upside is that at least your boyfriend cares about you, even if he's trying to help you in the wrong way.
Yes, I do believe us men don't have body issues like women do. That doesn't mean that we don't have body issues, we just have them in different ways. |

I think that is completely true, I think us women always reley on OH's to tell us the truth but they can't win either way. Plus boys have body issues too. But I think women feel that they don't, but they will do. They just might not show it as much.

There is that. But over the last three years I think I've managed to convince my man to tell me the absolute truth when I ask for it - mainly because I can tell when he's lying! And the fact that I usually agree with him when he's honest helps too. I couldn't be doing with a man who lied to me all the time just to tell me what I wanted to hear - it would suggest his opinion didn't matter to me and that he was being taken advantage of!
