Art or sleaze? Neither, in my opinion. Simply entertainment. But closer to art than to sleaze, definitely. I don't call what I do art because I'm not trying to present any particular ideas or feelings, just to make people smile. But others might call it art because it does evoke some idea or feeling in them. I've never yet seen a burlesque performance I would call sleazy though, I think it's too self aware for that - if a performer is doing something blatantly sexual, it's often a parody of over-sexualisation or an over-the-top character being played.
Checks time - yep, coming up to 2am, around the time when deep ideas such as art, religion and politics get discussed, and not even any alcohol involved this time!
