Swing Dancing Class in Hackney
Lindy Hop, the Grand-Daddy of Swing dance!
Learn the dance that started them all in this 6 week beginners class
at the George in Hackney, East London. We will focus on laying strong
foundations in the language of 1930s style Swing Dancing. Strengthen your
style, your moves and your dance confidence.
By the end of this class you'll have a solid grasp of Lindy Hop rhythm
& musicality, connection, and a grab bag of moves that you can pull out
on any dance floor.
This dance will have you smiling, sweating, and wishing for more!
Also, Charleston! Charleston came before Swing, and now they are
essentially interchangeable. You can put Charleston in your Lindy, or Lindy
in your Charleston, You can dance it by yourself, or with a partner.

When? Taster session at 8:30pm Thursday 3rd April at the George Swing
Dancing Open Evening (details to follow) then starting for 6 weeks from
Wednesday April 9th 7:30-9:30

THE GEORGE SWING DANCING OPEN EVENING
The George swaps lager and dubstep for the slightly more refined
martinis, canapes and the best in 1920's - 50's music and dance this Thursday
at 8pm at our swing dance open evening.
Join us for a sophisticated evening of lindy hoppin' goodness with the
best of swing music and see what we've been learning at our lessons.
So put on your dancing shoes and bring food and drinks to
share...DRESSING UP ENCOURAGED!... and have the chance to learn some new moves at
out beginner taster session (8:30pm) in preparation of our new six week
beginner swing course.
