For one show only we are changing our performance day to MONDAY 27th AUGUST so that all of you who have Bank Holiday plans will hopefully have time to squeeze in a trip to the Candy Box after your festivities...Believe me you won't want to miss this!

Ooh dear- you won't be getting him a birthday surprise of 2 Candy Box tickets then?
Unfortunately with an eight piece band and ten performers ( all of whom -except the Heels-we are flying here to Brum especially) in a very busy comedy club with limited free nights, we didn't really have much choice about the date.
What a shame - I can't promise we'll EVER have a show like this again!!

do you think this is the sort of event you could go to by yourself?I'm having real trouble getting anyone to go with me but I'd love to go!

I don't see why not! Candy Box has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, so you'll no doubt make a few new chums while you're there too!

My first Candybox was Nightmare on Hurst Street which was also my first Burlesque show ever.
I went on my own as no one was free to go with me that night but I had the most amount of fun ever and had a revelation as to what I had been missing! Before I was intrigued by Burlesque but did not know too much about it, now I'm a believer and have kept coming to the Candybox as its one of the best nights in Birmingham you could ever have.

The atmosphere is very friendly and since going regularly I have met many lovely people. The Candybox audience has become a community in my eyes with many familiar faces all there to just enjoy the show and have a jolly good time doing it!

This may sound like a bit of mush but I give my thanks to Al Palooka and Parma Violet for making me a Burlesque believer and I'll see everyone in August.

thank you its just that I'm very shy anyway but I really want to go my friends don't really understand/like burlesque they don't seem to understand that its definately not like going to a lapdancing club
I may pluck up the courage and make the trip down myself the line up really is too special to miss!

Well go for it and make the trip down, you will not be on your own at all, you'll be with friends and if you spot me come over and say Hello.

Hopefully James and I will make it through and I'll ask a few people if they too would like to come with us.

Please do make the trip down to share the night with us, corsetpanther! The Candy Boxers really are a nice, non judgemental crowd- we love them dearly as they are as important to making the Candy Box what it is as the performers themselves! From what I hear you will probably make a few friends in the queue outside! Or, why not arrange to meet up with some MoB folk when you get in there? I'm sure Decadent Gent would be happy to say hello and take you under his wing.
Thank you for your kind words BTW DG! We are really lucky to have such a friendly and appreciative audience and love that we now have 'regulars'- it means a great deal to us. We really want to reward all those who bother to keep coming back by consistently provide the best entertainment we can every time....although, if we can pull this show off, we will have a hard time following it, I think!
