Right ive been asked to provide details of insurance i have by a couple of venues and need advice on who would be best to go with and also how do i go about getting it?

Also for the first time ever ive been asked for a show reel and guess what .... i dont have one
So i need someone to do one for me unless someone has footage of me performing then please get in touch.

Hey, someone filmed Emerald Ace's acts at the Silk Stocking show - I believe it was a lady who was sitting in the front row who did this - I think Heather Sweet or Cherry Fox might know. I wouldn't mind knowing if there is some footage from this show that includes me though...

I think that lady may well have been Emerald's sister (correct me if I'm wrong Miss Ace ^_^)

do you not have any insurance? if not, may i suggest equity. they cover you for public liability as well as legal advice and a number of other very important things and for a very minimal fee.

In the absence of Miss Ace I can indeed confirm that the camera operator was her sister. I have no idea if she would film anyone else, you'd have to ask.

Personally, I think getting good showreels are a nightmare. You need someone with a decent video camera and a good idea of what they are doing. I've recorded my wife and others on a Mobile Phone but the quality is generally very poor and often unuseable.

As far as insurance - Equity do an excellent one for members. The cover is so good I've joked with Angel about doing an act with live grenades!

yeah i was thinking about going to them but they want proof of four paid gigs and i have never asked for reciepts or anything so i dont know what to do.
and showreel wise i know i have been filmed but never been able to get hold of it really and i do need to get someone to show me how to edit grrr
