I like to consider myself an amateur of many things...
I am an amateur burlesque performer, I have only just started and therefore do not make any money! I am happy to be an amateur and may always be one... I wouldn't consider myself professional at anything yet, but I will learn to hone what skills I have and will one day make some money!!

I have a9-5 day job for my main income, and perform in whatever time i can that i have spare.
I'd love to do this professionally but unfortunately I'm a bit of a control freak and need the security of my guaranteed income- but who knows what the future brings i guess!

I've done some paid and some unpaid shows, but always as part of a double-act or a troupe. Now I would like to try performing on my own. I have no intension of making burlesque my full-time job though, as I am more interested in film.

I remember my very first acting class always becuase the tutor gave as some very good advise. Which was not to invest all our resourses on persuing our acting carears and to learn another skill that we will be able to support ourselves with when we graduate becuase even people whove been to the best drama schools still have months where they don't work at all. She also said we will be jelous when we turn thirty and all oour friends are buying houses and have stable incomes and we will all be working as waitresses or street fundraisers. So I did an ITEc in holistic body massage at the same time as training which has been a live saver as I can work as and when i choose and make room in my week for auditions.
Well now I am nearly thirty but I am not jeolous of my friends with houses and cars, becuase I am doing something that i love. I think I'd go mad stuck in an office.
