Just to throw in my opinion ...
I've had the pleasure of seeing Empress Stah perform live, and it was amazing! I think that circus and acrobatic routines appeal to different people on different levels. When I saw Empress Stah, I was astounded by her grace and flexibility on the equipment, and how she made something that was probably extremely difficult look so effortless and smooth. My OH, on the other hand, was more impressed by the sheer physical strength she posessed, and kept exclaiming 'how does she do that?'
So as an audience member, I think that aerial routines would definitely bring something different to an evening. I for one will happily say, as much as I love to see good burlesque and good striptease, there are only so many boobs you can see in an evening before you get bored. Throwing in a bit of circus skill, or anything just that bit different, makes me sit up and take notice. I have no idea how much demand there is - it's probably one of those things that people don't know they want to see until they see it, if you see what I mean ...
