i would really love for someone to train me up because im only 17 so if i had someone to train me say someone in a group i would be like really readyy for the stage and preforming i just would really love some help is there anyone who can train me or got a group i could join to train with ?? then strat when im 18 ??? xxx loves xxxx

The best thing to do honey id to look for a qualified teacher.

Sometimes posts come on here asking for new girls for troupes, but unless you know abit about burlesque or what it is about the scene you like ,they can be risky ventures.

There are quite a few shows in your area, ( I know legally you shouldn't attend )
but there are some very nice ladys who if you write to them may look the other way.

Dr Sketchys would be a great place to start, It's a burlesque drawing class.

There are many brilliant ladies out there who have dance studios and do Burlesque training. These lessons come in at between £10 a half hour up to £25 an hour.

Then you have the three or four hours a DAY practicing what you have learned, by yourself, working out your own totally new and unique routine, figuring out and making your own costumes, seeing which music suits the particular parody you are performing etc. While you are doing this you would be looking for a venue that might accept a beginner as a Burlesque performer, again, there are a few ladies and gentlemen in the MoB who have their own companies and or agents who will probably try to help you out there. Just understand sweetheart that this not going to take a week or a month, it might take a year before you are accepted (after you are 18)by a venue as a performer.
