Thumbs up

I enjoyed the show despite having to move a sea of props - today I'm aching all over.

Des O'Connor and Liberty Pink did a song for new parents Lulu Spanx and her hubby - I still need to bleach my ears; very funny if somewhat disturbing.

I can't really comment on the performances as my line of sight was straight nto the stage lights (can I borrow his shades). I need to find a better place to watch the show inbetween running around lke a mad March Hare.

Welllllllllllllllllllll,,,

i went , i saw, and im gonna go again and again..

It was my first ever event and we got there far too early and had to wait in the bar downstairs..we went upstairs about 7.40 as we tried at 7.30 and it wasnt open yet. We managed to get seats and a little table.... its a shame you have to arrive so early to get seats as we did get a bit bored waiting for about an hr for the show to start.. We expected the place to be bigger and for it too have more seats. I felt sorry for the guys and gals that had to stand for all that time (i wouldnt of liked to spend all that money and have to stand in my shoes for hours,, that were killing me..lol ) and the guys and gals beside us that had a pillar in the way, and it was a shame that the people behind us were nattering so loud that it put us off the show a bit. . . butttttttt

it was a fab show and the girls looked really sexy and ok ok ok so did Des.

my fav dances was the feather one and the telephone/shower one. my fav outfit was the mermaid one that the singer was wearing...i want a dress just like it, it was so fab. we couldnt see the magic that the two girls were doing as they were not on the stage and we just couldnt see, although we were only 3 rows back, which was a shame but im sure they were fab too..
the pub itself was great as well and we even got a free drink as the bar girl tripped and spilt a full glass of coke and it went everywhere. lol.

I met the lovely Deb from tiptop photography..the first person off this site that i have ever spoke too and what did i do, i called her Bev..god knows why as i knew her name was Deb.

And i kept staring at a lady dressed in a fab 40s dress and red sparkly heels, she had done her hair and she looked lovely.. I stared at her so much that she kept catching me doing it. lol. but later in the toilets i bumbed into her and said sorry but she looked so pretty and had a great dress on.. im going to the goodwood revival and im dressing in 40s clothes for the whole weekend and so i had an extra interest in what she was wearing and what she looked like.

All in all my husband and i had a fabulous time and laughed loads and wooped and cheered loads just like Des told us all to do. everyone that we saw had a smile on their faces, even the ones standing.. lol. We cant wait to go back again and i cant wait to have a dance lesson soon..

Well done everyone

LOL dont worry, I've been called a lost worse than Bev!

The evening was great - totally rocked, I loved it.

Obviously my take is from behind a camera so sometimes miss out on the full effects....but here goes:

Captain Des O'Connor - if you have not seen him live then you MUST go to the next Cherry Pop Show on 31st October - he is an absolute darling...he is SO SO funny. His personality is infectious, he wooes the audience and is extremely naughty with it. He was fan-bloomin-tastic!!

Liberty Pink & the Midnight Caberet Band were amazing - Liberty Pink wore the most gorgeous pink, spartkly, shimmery mermaid dress to kick the evening off, followed by a cheeky sailors costume which was just beautiful. As always, sang some great songs and even did a duet with Captain Des O'Connor too - which was very blue LOL

M&M's and their travelling magic show was great; they didnt perform on the stage due to the amount of equipment needed which was why some people didnt get a full view. Their act was great, how they did the sword routine without killing the other person is beyond me... and how on earth they made cakes appear out of an empty tin is just mind blowing

Lil Miss Chevious was very impressive to watch - she has some of the best facial expressions I have seen to date; she captures the audience with her routines and you are left wanting more.

Tallulah Mockingbird was exceptionally good too.... her fan routine was great, but the 2nd performance when she came out wearing a boat, yes a boat, was fab.... again, left you wanting more.

All in all, another fantastic night put on by LuluSpanx, the Deckhand for the evening, she looked lovely in her sailor outfit and oversaw all of the evening.

Of course, the show would not have happened without the other people helping, Angel LaVey bearing all in her swimming costume and Gehenna in shorts showing everyone his......knees to name but a few.

If you didnt go.... you missed out BIG time; I will be putting pictures up from the evening in the next few days and will add a link to this thread once they are ready for viewing.

Deb
