Is there any one out there in the Burlesque world that could give my daughter who is at college doing a Fashion and Design course any work experience??

Preferable over the holiday half term/end of term anytime this year/2009...she is very much a Burlesque follower...and any area of the country considered..she is hard working, enthusiatic and very polite and funny!

How wonderful to have such a talented daughter with such good taste! I looked at this thread because I am helping to organise a benefit event to be held in Southampton and we need help with costumes but I really don't think we are what you are looking for. I'm sure you probably have but have you tried places like "What Katie Did" or loked on ebay for people that make and sell burlesque items? Dolly De Lash makes fabulous stuff.

I know Ages of Elegance had a couple of work experience girls when we were doing our group shoot last year - Ages of Elegance. Makers of Historical Clothing, Uniforms and Bridalwear She's a lovely lady too which is always good

Hi. I work for a lingerie design company in west London. We supply everyone from major high street stores to small boutiques. We do not specialise in Burlesque lingerie, but if your daughter has an interest in doing lingerie and corsets, this is one of the best places to learn the basics. If your daughter is motivted and has flair, then she will be welcomed here.
