It might be evening classes,

For me, it's been Flamenco classes. Since the middle of May I/we have been working on a Paso Doble/Flamenco routine. All smouldering, sensual, erotic dancing. I love it.

Well I don't "do" burlesque personally but I have been

* doing a bit of modelling (do we call 9 shoot in 4 weeks a bit?)
* adding to my wardrobe - mainly corsets & vintage lingerie/clothing
* getting my kitty back on the mend after a thyroidectomy operation - but he's loads better now
* struggling with my work laptop because the keyboard is playing up - going to buy myself a new one next month though if I can wait that long.
* celebrating our first wedding anniversary (yesterday)

I also aim to get my backside to a few shows in the coming weeks

Oh - doing a bit of modelling (for fun more then anything serious), getting ready to try sewing again (Midnight Blue inspired that one) and (hopefully) moving in with my boyfriend soon

Trying to find a job-anywhere in the UK (but preferably somewhere that has a good burlesque scene!!) Have an interview coming up in Cumbria so figuring out how the heck to get to it lol

Helping my friend get sorted for her lovelyl holiday to California by providing some handy tips and medical advice

Ooh I inspired someone to get back into sewing? Yay!

The machine is indeed out of the box, it was out for a whole 2 hours. I managed to do the top threading all by myself, and the bottom with help from Rob (its my old lady hands I tell thee). And in those two hours I grabbed some scraps of fabric and made the worlds most demented yet cute little bag for my two year old. I've taken a pic which I'll upload but this thing wasn't made for looking at up close lol, it horrendous really, but no pattern and used almost every stitch on the machine including overlocking just for the sake of it! She loves it anyway so job's a good'un

Aside from that, I'm in full-time mummy mode, no time for anything else, mid summer holidays, I've had a cold, little man's been poorly and little lady's been mad as ever. Last weekend of nothingness for a while though so I'm making the most of it.

Waiting!! I have a new job in London, just waiting to be posted, yey!! OH and writing. a lot - third article due up on virtual fests website tomorrow and a comp for September - hoping to squeeze in some for CP:21 too!

- chipping away at my MA dissertation (due at the end of the month). Working Title: Mii, Myself and Eye: An exploration of the corporeality of Nintendo Wii.
- crawling through our new Six Feet Under complete series box set.
- using my graphic design l33t skillz to create posters and flyers for the September Hot Muffins event.
- Baking: Tonight I plan to make a pear and apple crumble.
- over-sleeping.

Getting overly excited by the Olympics....being inspired to start running again.....venturing outside....realising it's cold and running is hard work.....resigning self to start 'tomorrow' over a mug of hot tea and couple of mcvities ginger nuts - wouldn't want to peak too early, 2012 is a whole 4 years away and if I actually trained I wouldn't be able to get Steve Cram's sympathy about what could have been if I'd only been properly prepared....(meoww)
