They annoy me too. I normally tell them I'm not 18 yet (though Mr C won't let me do that when I'm out with him

) or that I already give money to their charity.
I don't mean to sound tight-fisted or selfish, but at the moment I am barely just paying rent (well when I'm at Uni... when I'm not, I have no money in the first place) and I simply can't afford to donate. When Greenpeace convinced me to give them money they took it out of my bank when I had nothing in there, and as a result Barclays got rid of my overdraft and now I have bad credit rating.
If I were to give to charity, I would do it myself, privately and choose a charity myself without being chased on the street.
Once when I told Oxfam I had already signed up to their petition thing (which I had) the man demanded to know if I had recieved a confirmation letter, and if I had received a green pen. When I told him I had he said "Well you're lying... We don't give out green pens". I definitely have a green pen with "Oxfam" on the side. I didn't appreciate the rudeness from him and it didn't encourage me to donate.
