As of course it's important to get internet forum posts removed, they're so important to everyday life

EDIT: Wish I hadn't bothered getting involved - I'll be named as an accessory now ...

Just read their last reponse. I think they are a little confused over what is libel. Libel is is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image.

I can not see how not answering simple questions such as which charity is an issue? People have a right to know what their money is paying for. Did anyone write to them via a PM? Did they get a satisfactory answer from them at all???

Curious now.

All charity events I have performed at in the past have covered any unavoidable overheads through ticket sales. I have never been asked to pay a fee in order to be a part of an event, even when I was new to the circuit.

It may also be worth researching the difference between the £250 you are asking performers to pay to perform and the fee performers tend to get paid for performing at burlesque events (small and large).

If you're serious about finding performers to take part in this huge event, it would certainly be worth while posting a reply to my questions. As your business proposal stands, I can't help but find the arrangements ambiguous.

I don't mean to rain on your parade - raising money for charity is a wonderful reason for putting an event together. I simply mean to voice the concerns that I'm sure a number of other performers will have.

Clarification on the points I've highlighted would greatly help your charity.
Bravo Beatrix, succinctly put and you are quite correct: Why shouldn't your concerns be aired on open forum?
Can you imagine the furore if something like "Children in Need" asked it's performing artistes to cough up, or you don't get to appear?

It pisses me off when I get accosted by in the High Street by these hard sell charity collectors, have they now found their way onto the internet?

They annoy me too. I normally tell them I'm not 18 yet (though Mr C won't let me do that when I'm out with him ) or that I already give money to their charity.

I don't mean to sound tight-fisted or selfish, but at the moment I am barely just paying rent (well when I'm at Uni... when I'm not, I have no money in the first place) and I simply can't afford to donate. When Greenpeace convinced me to give them money they took it out of my bank when I had nothing in there, and as a result Barclays got rid of my overdraft and now I have bad credit rating.

If I were to give to charity, I would do it myself, privately and choose a charity myself without being chased on the street.

Once when I told Oxfam I had already signed up to their petition thing (which I had) the man demanded to know if I had recieved a confirmation letter, and if I had received a green pen. When I told him I had he said "Well you're lying... We don't give out green pens". I definitely have a green pen with "Oxfam" on the side. I didn't appreciate the rudeness from him and it didn't encourage me to donate.
