I've noticed the pictures shown on the performers page showing an act extremely similar to Delilah Dufoe's have now been removed, although the act is still detailed on her profile.

Hi Mitzi,

Im new to this aswell, and im planning on a casino act. Ive made lots of friends on here immediately everyone is so welcoming. (Thanks Guys!!) and someone very politely warned me a fan made from casino cards had already been used... and so I took this on board, and thought of a whole new idea which is exciting. Its challenging and fun. So dont be down hearted if the ideas been done before. Just make it your own and people will be able to see the genuine properties of a performance

Exactly Kitten - innovation is the perfect word to use. The scene may have a 100 similar themed secretary routines, but if each performer uses their own individual innovation then no two should be the same.

Default The End.....

Hello everyone

Thank you all so much for the support etc on this thread. I would like it to come to an end now. I have spoken to the performer involved & we have discussed the issue.

This post was never meant to turn into a slanging match or as a vendetta it was a rant i needed to get off my chest. It seems to have got a little personal now & so i urge anyone who has an issue with this performer to air it with her directly and not in public.

Thanks again

DD x

Sorry Miss Dufoe, not meaning to carry this thread on after you have expressed your wishes for it to end but this is not concerning what has happened to you, just in response to being a newbie who doesn't want to step on anyone's perfectly manicured and beautifully agile dancing feet!

In response to blitzgrrl's post: Me too! I've got two concepts that I am putting a lot of thought into at the moment and I dread the thought of ever being unintentionally similar to another act! It is a worry that's for sure. I'd never want to rip anyone off.

I do stand up and it happens there too. You see acts not doing so well and they then bring out gags I've seen done by more succesful acts. Yes it gets them praise at the time because some people don't realise it is a rip off, but it always upsets me because it's not their talent and they act like it is.

Ok in accordance with Delilah's wishes we should leave this thread alone.

I have a link here for another thread where newbies can air their worries and ask for support
