Hollywood is very screwed up in a lot of ways. Creativity has really gone by the wayside in the want of profits. Remakes in old cult movies and old television shows is the norm now. The way driven by polls. What does the public want, when in reality, the REAL public has given up on Hollywood. Anyone over 35 years old feels that they have been thrown aside.
Now, Hollywood consists of chases, explosions, wierd and demented characters, toilet-humer based comedies.
Intellegence need not apply.
Another factor is that actors such as Susan Sarandon, George Clooney, Barbra Streisand and that ilk, speak against the United States and feel that the world should be run their way. Liberalism is rampent in Hollywood. Family values are laughed at and cynicism is normal.
Oh, and don't EVER be a conservative in Hollywood. You then don't work and are treated like a leper.

That said, I was half thinking of doing a Rocky themed burlesque myself...

Maybe, just maybe, everyone on here should band together and make a massive burlesque Rocky Horror night and shame MTV. You know it would be awesome...

I know I've seen pics of the Legendary Captain Chaos as Frank n Furter when he was a maid and was quite stunning...

(and that's from a lady who likes ladys...blimey what if LCC in drag could turn me, wouldn't that be funny to tell all the louts who reckon they can hahaha)

...but I don't know if Scarlet Fever did a matching act....?

Erm...As a very hard core Rocky fan for erm...quite a while...like 23 years ( I'm guessing only Usherette is beating me on here) ...and as one of the Official Reps for Timewarp,the UK Rocky Horror Fan Club, I'd like to mention that this MTV thing has been on the cards (and off and on and off) for many a year now...Marilyn Manson was reported to be cast as Frank who was now to be a Plastic Surgeon in Manhattan...and so on.
Relax- it's all nonsensical rumours!!

P.S. As the the only Mobster who has won Best Columbia at a Rocky Convention (and been on the commitee/costume panel for all the others) I hereby demand I get to play her in the Burlesque version. Or I will scream and shout and flash my nipples (oh, wait...)

I'd heard this one - also scary. And there have been loads of rumours but this story is from Variety and based an Lou Adler himself discussing it as a straight remake for broadcast on MTV. I do hope it's just him talking out of turn!

Eek! i've got a pic of her and I both dressed as Frank in Princes Square in Glasgow - I was actually playing the role on stage and she still looked better than me!

Must find it and post...
