Half past nine?
I don't like this whole boyfriend-waking-up-early-to-go-to-work thing. I should not be waking up at nine o clock! It's my summer break!
Oh well. I have a shoot a bit later. My legs have been destroyed by a mix of shaving rash and mozzy bites, so I will need to wear stockings. I'm planning to wear peep-toe shoes though and I'm not sure how that will work.
My Mum is away so I'm going to raid her shoe collection. She has loads, and we're the same shoe size so I'm sure I'll find something.
Sorry for this complete blabber, it's early.
Time for Jeremy Kyle methinks

I know what you mean, I wasn't planning on getting up until an obscene hour but I have to go out today... on a slightly related note - trying to find a decent pair of nude stockings the other day among my collection was a complete disaster, I found five single stockings - none of them matched.
Not one.
Where have my stockings all gone? xx

Half nine?! That's nearly dinner time.
Try having two kids who's body clocks haven't told them it school hols yet. It's just typical, I have to drag them out of bed and dress them most school days.
But ping! On a holiday they're up and dressed and hogging my telly at 6.45!!
Don't they know I'm missing America's Next Top Model??
(I've got my first proper 'leaving-house-without-my-hubby-and-having-my-photos-taken-by-a-stranger' photoshoot tomorrow. Nervous and excited all rolled into one. Got to go to it straight after a CBT counselling session, so bit worried I'm going to cry all my makeup off....)
Good luck with your shoot this afty - can't wait to see loads more fab pics.

Ooh good luck with it! I'm sure it will go fantastically!
I'm also losing stockings left right and centre. I may actually have to go bare legged, and layer foundation on them
When my little brother is home I tend to wake up early as he runs around shouting wrestling catchphrases from half seven. He also has a habit of coming into my room early in the morning to get in my bed and play I-Spy.
I love him, but he is a pain

I'm actually quite glad to be up this early! For saying I've been getting up later and later since I went diurnal it's a sign that I've been sleeping better and am coming out of my patch of insomnia. It's absolutely amazing what you can fit into the day when you get up while the hour is in single figures! Today I'm going into town for essential supplies before my performance on Sunday (like nail polish, new hair rat, etc.), including my first ever trip to a beauty salon ^_^ I would feel so much better about it were my back not really aching from yesterday's exercise - the first bit I've done for three weeks and I couldn't warm up properly because it felt like my tummy was going to go ping!

I envy all of you. As one of the unfortunate 9-5ers I daydream about all the things I could be getting done for future performance if I wasn't at work. Of course I might just be kidding myself and sleep in instead.
Fleur, do you use the standard foam hair rats? I have one but I've been thinking about starting to make my own like they did in the 40s - with discarded hair from a hair brush stuffed into a dark stocking. I've heard they give a more natural appearance.

It's not going to go ping! (so tempted to say it will go splat if anything, but that wouldn't help...)
So sad I'm going to miss you at the SSS. So near and yet so far. Yet again I can't get there because of lack of babysitters - I'm so excited about them moving to Saturdays in the future, it will make getting there so much easier - so make sure you return!
Where do you get your hair rats? What colour are they? Do they work? (I'm coping with white foam roller inserts that I've used a black marker pen on to try and cover the ends so they won't be visible...but have you found better?)

Ooh blimey, questions! OK, Cat and Tempest - for hair rats it depends what I'm doing. If I'm doing victory rolls, I often don't bother with rats and just roll the hair around my fingers, especially if I'm only doing one. If I want two to be symmetrical, I use Boots small foam rollers to wind my hair around. Yes, they're bright pink or bright blue, but I usually manage to tease them back out again once the rolls are gripped into place, and then grip any loose hair I've dislodged back inside the roll. Although I'm about to try the curling tong method, where you wrap the section of hair you want to roll around a curling tong, wait for it to curl, and then just roll the curled hair back in on itself to create an instant victory roll! But the rat I want today is one of the Boots long net ones, which has a press stud at the ends, so you can snap it together into a donut shape. I want to try to get my hair into a donut shaped bun, which I think will involve some practise wrapping the hair around the rat and then snapping the ends together >_< Cat, if you manage to create a hair one and it works, let us know!
Tempest - darn it, it had never occurred to me you might be at SSS, but of course you're local aren't you! Would have been really nice to meet you. Oh well, I suppose I've just got to be good enough that they ask me back on a Saturday show!

Yeah I bought the black net press stud one from Boots too - as yet I've only managed to use it to create body, never managed to actually use it well enough to create a style.
And I bought my first ever curling tongs the other day, so I've been trying out that way and it works better for me than trying to hide white foam rolls in my hair...but my hair's really fine.
Yes, I was so excited to see your name on the flyer for SSS but everyone I use to babysit has gone on hols
So be so fab that all the audience tell Gehenna and Angel they must get you back!
