a little help please
hi I'm really new to this and i was wondering if some veterans or anyone could give me some advice on how to crack this and give me some much appreciated words of advice.
I'm goin to get the dvd and maybe some classes but I basically have lived in corsetss since I was 17 (except for the year or 2 for my daughter!) and i am naturally a really confident person.
I have joined several sites and groups but find it all a little mind boggling some times!
Any advice would be gratefully recieved and hopefully I'll be treadin the boards in a few years xx

Hi Collide,
What in particular are you looking for advice on? How to perform burlesque? How to choreograph a performance? How to get bookings? x

Hi Collide, here are some previous thread to check out with similar sorts of advice:
http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/l...ke-before.html
http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/l...burlesque.html
Also, work your way through the Learning Burlesque posts - there's loads of questions and juicy answers there.
But the best thing is to get to as many shows as you can, or failing that, use Youtube and Veoh, typing in burlesque or names of big performers you've heard of and work out what sort of style fits you and get some inspiration.
Hope you have lots of fun xx

Treading the boards in a couple of years?
I think not my dear.
We shall have you performing before the year 2008 is finished.
It is a challenge madame, and I throw down my glove.
Just get along to a few burlesque shows, maybe attend a few lessons, watch some DVDs.
Then you think of a routine, get the costume and music, choreograph it and get out on stage and strut your stuff ...
There ya go, what you waiting for?
You have 5 months to perform or we send in the badgers....

I'd get practising Collide - you don't want to mess with the badgers, they know moves you could only dream of....and they're very messy....

I'd definitely be very wary of the badgers.
Good luck by the way ^-^ xx

No - they carry TB and pass it to the cattle, which are often, ironically, monochrome not so fuzzy animals...
Also badgers carry cars - but they can't handle the weight and they get squished

I like cows too.
Cows are good.
I often think they are just big badgers.
It's funny when you push them over too.
They go moo.
