Khandie is in a FOUL mood today so I apologise for the grumpiness of this thread but I am SO SO SO annoyed!

I came home yesterday from having an awesome time at Latitiude Festival to find a note on my door.

'Swinging Door Khandie!! I dont appreciate you talking behind my back!!'

It would appear that on Friday in the bar (please bear in mind that I was at Latitude at this time) I was heard bitching about some one I live near. WHAT???? My mate Lisa told me about the bar thing but she has no idea who I was supposed to be whinging about as she heard second hand also.

Not only do I dearly love all those that I live near (tis true) I WASN'T here!!!

I think what has really annoyed me is that I have no idea who said what and who wrote it. At least then I could set the record straight.

Gutted right now as I dont know who I can talk to as I have no idea who wrote the note. I am not that person!!!

I do have to admit that my close friends are shocked. My boss heard about it and came over to give me a bag of Haribo. 'I know you aren't that person. Far from it. You find something nice about everyone...'

Ouch, that would piss me off no end not being able to defend my good name! Is there any way you can find out through your friend who they heard it from? If they can't speak to you directly then there's really not much you can do about it, you'll have to rise above it.

I may being silly but what does 'swinging door' mean? Is that the pub or some snipe I'm not clueing onto?

That's horrible!

I may be being silly, but I don't understand what "swinging door" means.

If you can't find out who it is, I guess the best thing to do is just carry on as if nothing has happened, making sure you tell everyone you come across about the fantastic time you had at Latitude. Hopefully then it will get back to the person that you weren't around.

As it is anonymous there's nothing you can do about it - except forget about it!

If you haven't done anything wrong, then there's no need to worry about it.

It sounds like people have been gossiping about you whilst you have been away - possibly "quoting" you on stuff you haven't said and it's got someones back up...

That's my interpretation of the situation anyway!

Oh thats so unfair! I hate it when people jump to conclusions without having the guts to talk about it in person.
Best bet is to work out which friend is acting off and ask them about it.

The term swinging door means that basically be careful what you do/say because it will come back. Kind of a mild threat...I will do it to you if you do it to me!

This has happened to me before, an ex heard I was talking about him behind his back when really... it was all taken out of context, I don't know who it was that 'heard' me but he believed her over me! If after three years he hadn't figured out that I wasn't an utter bitch... then either I'm unsure of my own character or he's just that little bit simple.

Luckily I had the opportunity to call him on it, I hope you find out who it was! xx
