hmmm Whitley Bay...I nearly drowned in the wave machine in the leisure pool there once...ok, slight exaggeration, I got stuck too near the side of the pool and a wave hit me and I swallowed a bit of water and spluttered a lot. oof you're not the only one to have battled the wave machine haha! Plus Spanish City is a sore point up here, it was meant to be an awesome new arts centre that we little arty type people were going to be able to use but since some twit (ala the olympics) forgot to add the VAT to the quote, it's no longer happening. It'll open as something but not what it was going to be. Meanwhile our idiot council has given funding to these FOOLS to build a temporary bamboo bridge across the tyne for three weeks... because obviously our TWELVE bridges aren't enough...
