Yes, not that many burlesquers/models have their own websites - if you can have your own (as well as a myspace page that directs people to it) it can not only help you stand out a bit, but strangely when people see a website they think you're a professional and perhaps even a bigger star than you undoubtably are (just speaking
from experience from another life).
And having you own .com or .co.uk (depending on your budget, get both if you can afford it, but you could get a .co.uk for £6-8 for two years from various providers).
In addition, on your own website you can have 'riskier' pics than you can on myspace/facebook - so if you want to have implied nudes or pics of you with pasties, you can have them on your own website. The only thing is - make sure you have enough control of your own website so you can update and alter things when you want to and not be beholder to others (no matter how well meaning they are).
I've noticed quite a few people are beginning to use
www.mrsite.com including
Eva de Laurentiis and
Scarlet Fever the latter set up by the Legendary Captain Chaos who I'm sure would give you his opinion of the package - but it looks pretty reasonable if you want to stand out.
