You could always use Variete artiste or Variete performer, that covers dances and Burlesque.

I didn't mind Burly but then I didn't know the meaning of "burly" as a adjective (language gap). I'll probably mind it now.

Nice idea. I generally just use performer and elaborate if people ask ^_^ On my website I split up my acts into categories. I just don't like it when people assume I'm a trained dancer because they think I'm a 'burlesque dancer', because they may get disappointed if they expect a standard I don't reach ...

i tend to just use performance artist, or stage performer...

seems easier no?

p.s. vendetta; very early on i did a gig in glasgow and introduced myself to the bar manager who introduced me to the staff as 'wan o' they burlesquie girls' ha!
