Im no good with looking after things. I used to have a neopet but got bored after a while. And my tamagotchi died everyother day! If I did get a pet it would have to be a cat called burt. Wow I just sounded really simple! xx

We had one when I worked on reception in a hotel. We did something to it that made it stay up all night and sleep most of the day, and convinced the night porters to babysit it for us... boys'll do anything, they're silly :-)

I have twin sister black cats called Chloe and Radcliffe (after the evil twin sisters in The League of Gentlemen).
They are a substitute for my dream pet. This is a very cheesy 80's Martini ad style fantasy pet - a black panther. I got to play with a domesticated one when I was at an aquarium (of all places) at the age of 10 (really) and I always wanted one after that.
You can't keep big cats anymore as far as I know. Not surprising really.
In Belfast in the '70s and '80s there was a guy that used to keep lions in his back garden. Again, I'm not kidding. He lived in an ordinary Belfast terraced house. I can't remember his name but he was quite famous for it.

Not sure what I'd call the panther. There are obvious pussy jokes I guess. But imagine taking that for a walk!! Diamante collar and leash. Oh so cool.

But following what RedSarah was saying, ferrets are supposed to be excellent pets, but are full of mischief and hoard things. Me, my sister and Missy saw a woman walking one in Crouch End. She looked embarrassed and irritated in equal measures which just made it funnier. The way they move is hilarious.

I love how people walk ferrets with those little leads! They crack me up!

Hum maybe, I shall have to ask him.
And in repply to Sarah my BF had two ferrets called Nose and Death they were SO cute n they run around in such a funny manner they really are cool pets.
I got a little disturbed though when I was told that when ferrets mate the male drags the female around by the neck and knocks her about till she falls unconcious...

But anyway yes, get just one or 2 of the same sex so you dont have to panic about there odd habbits hehe.

I have the funkiest cat called Smokie, he's gunmetal gray but in some lights looks purple. But he went out last Tuesday and hasn't come back yet so I'm a bit worried. I must be the only person in Belfast hoping for a downpour cos I with a bit of luck that'll bring him back.
