Poll: How should I solve this burly dilemma?

I've just been rehearsing my bell boy act, but have come a little unstuck. I've lengthened the act to 6 and a half minutes, with the first 3 and a half minutes setting the scene (magic tricks, mime...). The latter 3 minutes are performed to a different piece of music and use striptease.

I'm struggling to remove all my costume layers within those three minutes. I think taking everything off (leaving just g-string and pasties) is possible, but it would be tight and risks loooking rushed. If I leave something on, it'll make for a smoother fit with the music, but risks looking like I'm holding back...

What should I do? Please answer using the poll, and/or contribute your own thoughts/solutions below.

My costume:
g-string
bra
under-bust corset
hold up stockings
shoes
pencil skirt
button-front jacket
hat

I'm torn between the second and third options. Definitely not one that means you rush, as I'd be too worried there wasn't any allowance for mistakes

Hi honey
I went for number two as I think you will speed up the more you do it and you do speed up on stage. I think it is fine to leave some things on its not holding back if what you leave on looks good as a combination. I have acts were I lave an under-bust on and most of my acts I leave my stockings on. Maybe you could remove something in the first half of the act . I think as long as it does not look rushed you will be fine.

Agree with the two ladies - leave something on, rushing doesn't look good (believe me, I've done it, newbie mistake >_<). I'd be more tempted to leave the stockings on than the corset, as then you don't have to worry about taking your shoes off either ...

i went for option 2 aswell because in my opinion it would take much longer to take off shoes and stockings than an underbust .....

however i really hate the marks that are left on the skin after tight lacing a waspie corset ...

and i would also say the more you leave on the better !!!
not because we don't like the sight of you near naked, but because it leaves more to the imagination

option two - better to have more performance, less rushed, than all your kit off...

Thanks everyone! You've all gone for the option my instincts were heading towards...

...I've been rushing around doing things this week, so was a bit worried that my mind was too exhausted to make a good decision - but I was wrong!

Red - you're right. I'm still trying to find the balance between revealing too much and too little (and, to some extent, I think it depends upon the character you've created). Your comment kicked me up the bum a bit - I needed that

I went for option 2 as people like the look of stockings on a person just as much as off.
Don't rush it but you know none of us would advise that hehe.
So yes option 2. You also get to show off your shoes, and legs (cause we all know how good our legs look in stockings) more.
