Default Blugh!

I'm a big fan of alternative therapy/ medicines as I think they're far more trust worthy then your modern day apothocary as they've been around for years, but the remedies don't half taste awful. Currently drinking some tea my herbalist recommended and well...

I'd also highly recommend acupuncture to anyone, it's marvoulous! Been having treatments for about 4 weeks and can really see the benefits it's amazing It treats practically anything, of course you need a consultation before you start but that doesn't cost a thing, so yeah....chinese medicine pretty much rocks

I've never used them and don't know much about them! My other half is Doctor's son so they're very into their modern medicines! xxx

I'm a bit of remedies girl, but more when it comes to colds and flu. Sage tea with honey is amazing against sore throats.

Onion juice is good when you have the flu (it sounds half as bad as it is, chop an onion, cover it with loads of sugar and leave it over night, drink the juice next day).

Hah when I went to see my doctor about a blood test I mentioned I'd been to see a herbalist and his face was just a marvel! Apparantly some herbal remedies can give you liver cancer. I'm still open to it, something that's been around a few thousand years can't be that wrong surely...besides have you read the possible side effects on the back of a medicine bottle?

Saying this I am not adverse to any sort of pain killer haha! Good old paracetamol.

Ooh I'll bare that in mind, although the onion juice sounds less then delectable, i'd rather that then a week in bed!

I'm a cynic I'm afraid. I know there are certain things that help but the doses are so small. and I draw the line at leeches and bleeding.

I'm sure the power of belief does half the work so that's probably my biggest stumbling block.

And one friend got pregnant by not realising st johns wart cancels out the pill.
Although the way they used opium to cure anything probably explains an awful lot of history.......

I'm also a cynic too.

I think that a lot of the results are seen from looking at it differently.xx

Haha yeah I wont go as far as leeches or bleeding.
And neither would I insist on putting a fish under my pillow or something ridiculous but from experience acupuncture really does work. Think some things just have to be seen to be believed.

You have to keep it real, colds and stuff remedies fine. But when there is something seriously wrong you better go to a doctor.

iv always thought the answer to pretty much everything is in plants or things that come naturally, my mum taught me that and she used to get funny looks for being all hippie and newage (caus this was in the 70s/80s)
but its really true i belive
