Happy midsummer! Me and my housemates actually celebrated it last night as midsummer nights eve. The three of us are pagans but I've always kept my beliefs to myself so it was really sweet to have friends to celebrate with. We had a very giggly, manic ritual in the garden trying in vain to keep the fire alight and getting suffocated by all the smoke it let out. God knows what the neighbours thought of us.

we just built a fire on our bar-be-que which is a homemade ring of bricks on the patio went out every few minutes though.

Happy solstice to all! The rain is a shame but that aside SUMMER ROCKS!  Here's to light nights, warm days, long country walks, bonny flowers, bbqs, fresh strawberries, eating ice cream by the sea side, sitting in front of your tent eating a full English breakfast, chatting with friends in the beer garden, wearing minimal clothing and enjoying the fact that people seem to be in a good mood.
Will celebrate with a bottle of wine, Doctor Who and a nice scented candle. Aah - the simple pleasures...

Well stop your grumbling, I was supposed to be at a party tonight, and earlier this afternoon, I should have been at High Tease, at Volupte, but a flu bug has struck amd there are not enough ambulance crews to cover, so yours truly, and others, have had to cancel their social diary in order to make sure that Bournemouth's drunks get the treatment they hardly deserve. And I gotta go because the RED phone is ringing and that only means one thing.........................
