My other half is incredibly supportive of my burlesque. He sets up all my equipment, mic etc andmakes loads of my costumes. In fact as I write he is upstairs making a robot costume out of cardbard and sticky back plastic!

I've been a performer for five years I have had two different boyfriends and both have been fine about the exhibionist side of the craft and sensual aspect to what I am doing.

My ex (and this is one of the reasons) didn't support the fact it took up so much of my spare time and weekends performing when he wanted to spend time with me. That's something to consider if you want to pursue it professionally.

My new lovely bf is totally gorgeous and drives me to all my shows, carries my suitcase and watches over proceedings to make sure I am alright at each gig. Awwwwwww!! xx

I'm quite lucky with my other half. I moved countries 2 years ago to be with him. It was very difficult for me to get settled for a while and he supported me so much. I used to work on projects with the Rock and Pop school in my hometown and some fun bits with the theatre. So I was looking to do something creative again and discovered Burlesque.

He loves the fact that I'm performing and helps a lot. He even did the maid job once, when we didn't have one at a show. (I think he enjoyed picking bras up lol).
His attitude is more like "yes you can look at her but I take her home".
