the evils of CAPTCHAS or whatever they are called...
i've just signed up to show us your titters and have spent the past half hour trying to bypass the captcha letter recognition section...
for some reason i simply CANNOT read them! i send messages to people via myspace and get a verification image and then have to not send the message because i can't get the code right...
i really don't understand, does anyone else have this problem? i've certainly no problems with reading normally and don't need glasses since i only went to the opticians on Friday
does anyone know where they came from and what sadist created them so i can hurt that person (!) i understand their use but seriously sometimes the colours of the letters or the angle is just gobblydegook!

I hate to break this to you but you might be on the dyslexic side if you can not read them. I am and I really struggle with them and its a common problem with dyslexics letters and numbers close together nightmare. Number plates are another bad one for me.

Hi Ameile I have really bad problems with these as well. It's due to my being partially sighted. I do find the ones on Titters difficult because the letters merge with the background. James perhaps you could change the colour scheme to make it easier?
they play hell with us dyscalculics - I have to agree for some reason I found the ones on Show us your titters far harder than the ones they have on myspace - upper and lower case and colours meant I nearly gave up - thank goodness my bank hasn't introduced them or I'd be getting locked out of my account everyday
diva, the mad thing is i had to get edd (the dyslexic in the family) to come read it for me! everytime!
i do have a blue/purple colour blindness but thats really the only dodgy thing about my eyeballs...
hmm will have to look into this...
ps james although the captchas are evil, i perserved merely cos happy little charlie chaplin and his breaksticks have been making me so smiley all day i felt i had to join!
