...with burlesque events and week nights?

I can't be the only one this is a pain for. In the fetish scene weeknight events are few and far between for that very reason. hmmmm

I'm guessing it's mostly down to venue policy. The venue I use prefers to keep my event on a Sunday night as:

1. Friday/Saturday nights are filled to capacity anyway, so they wouldn't get any additional business by moving my event to one of these nights.
2. My event pulls in customers that wouldn't normally be out on a Sunday, generating sales for the venue.

I think it's mostly just down to business...

Also possible that venues are cheaper on week-nights when it tends to be quieter, so less to pay = cheaper door prices?

yep, midweek events just mean being a bit tired when you are in your vanilla job!
i also think events are sundays/mid-week because burlesque is still quite niche and the venue wouldn't cut much of a profit if a saturday slot was used instead.
ho hum, hope things change...
