They are pretty cool. Remember Dita is tiny though so they may not be that huge in real life. They look like they have been hairsprayed to me...perhaps some feathers and some experimentation is in order!

Same, that's why I checked there, but it doesn't seem to have been updated for ages, and I couldn't find anything.

it could be anything. my bet is something easier to work with that hairspray as all the curls in the feathers are the same so it would need to be something you could rework before it sets. im thinking it may be some type of glue.

They are made by Catherine and they are 'mock' bird of paradise. The reason she seems to be having trouble handling them is that one of the fans was opened up backwards by her Pierrot assistant and therefore was weighted all wrong.

I presume they are mock bird of paradise insofar as the bird isn't that large, so they're mock-as-in-representational rather than mock-as-in-not-real-feathers...

*shrug*

I'd like them to be pretend feathers from a pretend bird... x
