Am squueeeeeeee excited!!!!
Totally un-burlesque related but I thought I should share my fantastic news with you all!!!!
Next Tuesday.............
I'm getting....................
My BRACES off!!!!!!!
Those of you who know me will know this is a REALLY big thing for me!!!
I shall be unveiling my sparkly new smile at Candy Box next week (great teeth/smile comments more than welcome).
Bad news is though over the next year I have to have a series of operations on my mouth for a bone graft and other horribly painfull stuff like that :-(
Kinda spoils my mood but ah well..............

Thats great news! I did not have a fixed brace but had to have head gear instead :-( I hated it!!! But am so glad now I had them sorted :-)
Hope the rest of the ops go ok. My friend had to have her mouth operated on which was not nice as they had to break some of the bones. But now she has great teeth!

That's soooo cool! I've still got mine and they are really really annoying - I can't wait to get rid of them.
I bet it will feel really wierd when they come off. What's your first meal post braces going to be?

Oooh braces coming off is good! Especially if you had the full train tracks and you get those huge metal rings around your molars off too - doesn't feel good when they prise them off your teeth, but such a relief once they're off! It kinda feels like you can brush your teeth properly for the first time ever, which is a bit icky but also quite relieving ...
Just make sure your dentist does what mine didn't and gets rid of all the old cement that stuck the brackets on, because it takes years to wear down on its own - mine were taken off when I was 16 and I still had traces of cement at 21!
And do as Amelie says and wear your retainer like a good girl - I didn't as often as I should so my results weren't as good as they could have been. Mind you, for some reason they decided to take my braces off before the teeth were even straight, which means I still have jumbled teeth, and a massive complex about them into the bargain (even braces couldn't straighten them out, etc. etc.) >_<

Hmmmmm I haven't decided yet....... maybe steak with diane sauce yum!!!
I just can't wait to be able to eat and not have to sit there picking at my braces for half an hour after!!!!
This time tomorrow I'll be wriggling around in a dentist chair (brace free) whilst my hygenist gives me a good hose down :-D
