Kitten On The Keys
Yet another amazing performance from the fascinating Kitten On The Keys, she's an absolute delight. She makes my stomach ache I laugh that much, she's a lady that certainly never disappoints.
The lovely Oliver Darling was a great support too, lets hope we see more of his performances in the future.
Does anyone know what happened at the end, Kitten just disappeared, I thought she'd be coming back on, hope she's ok.

Kitten was getting changed and was going to come back on which she did but some confusion had occured and as a result the show came to an abrupt end. She was gutted and we all were for her. Thats all I say on the matter til later when my head clears of this mild hangover and I can put my outrage over what happend more eloquantly.
But what I will say is to the lovely Kitten herself:
You were fabulous!
I have not laughed so hard in a long time and you are quite simply the funniest woman on the planet and we want to see you back here soon and I will be front row again cheering you on!
All us Kitten on the Keys fans love you to bits!

Oh my god, that's terrible, poor Kitten. We stayed for a bit cos I assumed she would be coming back, but as everyone started to leave, we took it as the show was over. I can't believe I missed the end of the show.
Kitten if you read this, 1,000,000 apologies

Believe me, you didn't miss anything unless you wanted to watch a true professional come back on stage and be humiliated. I, like yourself, felt the show had ended very abruptly, but the reality was that the Kitten was just having a quick costume change before the final encoe and wrap-up. She wandered back out with two beer botles stuffed down her bra, went to the stage and started talking but the mike and keyboard had been killed - then it became painfully obvious that ALL The Glee staff had dissappeared. They were eventually found in the main room and we were informed that the sound tech was finnished for the night. I realy don't know what happened, it was the opinion of Kitten on the Keys that the event was booked till Midnight maximum. The night ended with a bunch of Candy Box faithful and the Decadent Gent trying to comfort a visibly upset Kitten on the Keys.
As for the show itself, I've not laughed so much in a long time. At a mere £6.50 a ticket I feel that I actually got in for free. Kitten is one crazy and funny woman who doesn't just sing and play a mean keyboard, she is also an expert at physical comedy. Watching her remove her stockings was priceless, and using squirty cream as makeshift pasties had both Angel and I doubled up in fits of laughter. Kitten played all my favourite songs and added a new one, 'The Wheels on The Bus' which was about how she always attracts the weirdos when using public transport.
I hope that Al and Violet can tempt Kitten on the Keys back to Birmingham again in the future. I feel it would be great to give her a proper chance to finnish the night. Maybe they could take her to The Old Joint Stock for another show, the same location as the Immelda May gig on the 5th of April (shameles plug).

Oh God, it gets worse, poor Kitten, that's really bad, she's such a fabulous performer, I hope it hasn't put her off coming back to Birmingham, although who could blame her if it has.
What a terrible end to (until then) a perfect night.

Kitten we love you  I doubled over with laughter and I cried with laughter my stomach is actually sore today I laughed so long and hard. Kitten battled through adversaty and continued her set in the face of a rather obvious costume malfunction. We were also privvy to some wayward props thrown in to the set and in true she comedy genius style Kitten just worked in into her set.
Please Please Please come back again we want to see the whole show encore included.
I was very upset by what happened as far as the encore goes - not for myself but for Kitten. It just goes to show how much planning and communication actually goes into events like The Candy Box to have such a perfectly run night.

Hi everyone,
Glad you enjoyed the show but sorry to hear how it ended, I take full responsibility and promise that won't happen again - I had to leave very abruptly and If I was there I never would have let that happen. The Glee were not to blame It was info that only I failed to pass through the ranks.
We are most certainly bringing Kitten back in August for her FULL show x

Dear Al,
I think that those of us who know you and your wife even a little bit realise that you wouldn't have left a Candy Box show for any reason unless it was a genuinely serious emergency.
I don't blame you for what happened - life throws curveballs and we all have to make split second decisions. I know that had you been at the Glee the show would have ended as it was meant to.
Thank you for bringing Kitten on the Keys back in August. I shall be in the audience, as shall Angel.
Wishing you and your family well.

Well done for getting her back Al, I know when August comes I will have to be forcibly removed from my seat at the end of the night. Hope everything is OK with you too, we worry about you aswell as Miss Kitten
Hugs to all, and here's to Imelda on the 5th, and the return of the Candybox

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves - I know Kitten appreciated the warm reception she received and was most pleased to hear how many of you bought merchandise - I was the one flogging it and shouting at you all to buy it as you walked out the door!
Mr. Darling was also grateful to those who purchased Dirty Robbers CDs (how much were they again??).
