Music Help Please
Hi everyone,
I know there have been quite a few threads like this but I really am stuck. I'm looking for a song for a new act I'm working on, I know exactly how I want the song to sound, something inbetween The Stripper and Bad to the Bone.
I have no idea if such a piece of music exisits, what it's called or who may of recorded it. All help gratefully recieved. I've tried Limewire but since I don't know what to type into the search function have had no luck really.

Have you tried any of the Bump and Grind compilation CDs? The type of music your are describing might fit in under this umbrella?
I marvel at those who can do this, but I'd be absolutely rubbish at creating an act and then trying to find music - normally with me, the music gives me the idea for an act....

Not really sure if this is any help but perhaps something by Glenn Hughes? He did a really cool track called 'The boy can sing the blues' that I would have liked to do a routine to but I just don't think I have enough experience to do anything with it! Its from one of his solo albums, L.A. Blues Authority Volume II: Glenn Hughes – Blues

Thank you I shall have a scout around and a listen. Kitten I'm a bit strange in that I either have an abstract idea and then try to make it happen or I will hear a piece of music I want to use and then spend ages deciding what I want to use it for.

I think quite a few people work to the same formula as you!
Re: music - I think some websites offer you the chance to listen to music clips (try before you buy) - Amazon being one of them...
Hope this makes your search a little bit easier...it can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack at times!

I really love the site allmusic.com as it allows you to put in tracks and artists and find lots of information on them, including other people who recorded the same track and a list of similar sounding artists. Its very good for working your way round to find music in a particular style

Heheh, I do this too. It's odd.
I'm looking for a bit of film noir sounding music, you know, slow jazz with a sax. I could do with finding a noir soundtrack really but I've tried and failed. Angel, i know your pain!
