i was sort of brought up on a diet of murder she wrote, columbo and the flying nun haha!

fleur, i finished uni in newcastle but i did first year elsewhere; that's where i did fairytale. children's lit was introduced in my final year because the lecturer had got funding for the book centre.

i had weird year 6 cos our class was too big so we got spliced into half of year 5 and i actually thought i was year 5 until i left. Mom did too cos she's canadian and when got the letter for me to apply for secondary school just thought i was being hiked up a year... i'm on the cusp of intake dates... so in primary was probably treated the same as you!

had to do keyskills too... eugh... i got the three i needed but again my uni didn't care... especially my first uni, they wouldn't even accept them as a qualification, you weren't allowed to use general studies either!

Murder She Wrote always reminds me of being unemployed! It was teh only time i saw it. I've had Mrs. Lovett singing by the sea in my head all week but never remember the words.

I sympathise about the bruises. I'm still struggling awfully at trapeze but its got me hooked. I'm o.k once I'm up there the problem is getting up! Still cant tuck through without a big shove from someone.

Where do you learn dance hoop? I've always wanted to do low single point trapeze but havent seen anywhere that does it.

i don't think anyone teaches it in the UK hun, I learnt in berlin but i'm sure someone versed in double point trapeze could work out the basics and show you.

if you're ever in the north, i'd happily teach you some

as for tucking through, have you tried a few great big beats - do you have enough room underneath the bar to hold your shoulders tight while hanging and swing forwards and back?

this should create enough momentum to go up and through...

don't worry i couldn't tuck through for my first year of trap and i've lost it again through being such a lard arse! i tend to straddle, hock on one leg then monkey roll to sit... i am soooo lazy with my conditioning!
