I've mixed separate tunes together successfully. It didn't take me long at all. I did it on my laptop. You can't even notice the point where the mixing happens. I'm by no means a whizz with technology - so it's really simple to do.

Fleur honey the length is fine. My Burlesque Factor and Pop Goes The Starlet are both 2:30 and they always go down a storm. It's the story you are telling that's important, the audience will be to busy watching you not their watches so probably won't even realize how long the act is. All they will remember is whether or not they enjoyed your routine.

Thanks for the reassurance Angel! I'll just stick with the perfect song then. I thought it would be OK as when I listened to the song it seemed longer, if you get what I mean ^_^ but it's nice to have some reassurance that a shorter act can work!

there's no such thing as a small part (said the actress to the bishop!)...what i mean is that just because an act is short, doesn't mean it's instantly forgettable!

criss cross will make ya jump jump. i used to love them.

In my opinion id say its too short. I think three minutes is more acceptable, i have a three and a half routine and i think it is just long enough people are satisfied.
You can edit the music on a computer program to make it seem longer then it really is, just by blending in a repeat somewhere. I've done that before.
