hello where abouts is Vivian of Holloway? I've never found it. I always moan every time I go back to Camden how its changed and all the strange looking people that were such an influence to me seem to have gone. My favourite places there are Oddballs- I soent over an hour in there last month deciding what new circus toy to buy and the hammock stall because the man there let me lie in his hammock for ages while I was waiting for my mum to find me and chatted about trapeze and chinese pole. Odd little things like that always make me go back. Have the vintage shops at the back gone?

Aflecks
I got a message from my friend lou tonight saying Afflecks Palace was to suffer the same fate.
and there's talk of the corn exchange in leeds going the same way.
The goverment should give tax rebates and help to support indipendent small british buisnesses.
Years ago we flew the flag for beautiful craftsmanship is silver, steal, wood, textiles.
Now it's all going to pot.
I don't want a t-shirt from next that everyother bugger has, i want something someone has designed lovingly that noone else has.
Mass consumerism sucks balls, Leave the little guy alone.
( goes to cement herslef to the murals outside afflecks )

Ahhhh Camden...how i miss thee.
Probably my favorite place in London. I remember i got 40 pound pvc corset jack down to 20 quid after i let the sales man put it on me *giggles*
And i miss the little asian ladies shoving chicken on a fork in my face.

I agree, Camden has changed loads. I remember going when me and my mates were all about 13 and it was just this absolutely mind-blowing place full of all these fantastic clothes and shoes.
We couldn't believe a place like that existed! A place where we could find jeans with legs bigger than tents, Punky Fish clothes that used to actually have safety pins and LOOK punky (another massive change), feather boas, sexy restrictive goth clothes, New Rocks!!
You can still find some hidden little corners of joy in Camden, but it's just not the same... (Maybe it's because we're just all getting older? Hehe.)

I have a gorgeous dress from there, got it from the ebay shop. At the time, i didnt know they had a shop in Camden, but next time i go, I'm definitely going to seek it out. Yeesh, its been nearly a year since my last Camden trip...I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!!!
I find its still a great place to go, cos hunting out the bargainous and odd little shops is half the fun! (leaves you knackered by the ends of the day tho...)
