Now I have the date/plans in place, it's time to formally request ladies to take part...
The plan of the day is as follows;
1.00-2.00pm set-up, make-up and say hi!
2.00-6.00pm shooting on a one-to-one basis with up to 7 photographers. This will be pre-arranged on a dance card basis so that you will know who you are working with and when before the day. Modelling levels will also be set down on the cards so no-one will get embarrassing questions/rejections!
6.00-8.00pm will be a break time for some ale/food (the venue has a nice little menu for you). While the togs discuss the latest Nikon zoom or something, the room will be re-organised for a show in the evening and you will be left in peace to prepare for the show.
8.00-10.00pm Showtime! We will be putting on a full-blown burlesque show for both the photographers and the paying public. The only people allowed to take photos of the event will be booked photographers with photopasses. This will give you the opportunity to pleanty of shots of you during your performance(s) and I have booked a suave and debonair compare for the evening. This part of the event will be shot under a performance situation – i.e. without the use of flash and relying solely on ambient/stage lighting.
There will be a make-up artist on hand (Assisted Suicide) during the afternoon.
The venue has many beautiful soft leather sofas, a bar, stage, metal and wooden stairs and wooden handrails for you to use and an area will be set-up with a plain backdrop. You will need to provide your own outfits etc. and you can obviously get changed as many times as you like! There is a five minute changing/comfort break programmed in for you between each half hour shoot slot.
Additionally there is a large public park right outside the venue if you are happy to use it and you/the photographer wants to use natural light but this is public space and therefore nudity is not appropriate.
The shoot will be limited to 10-12 photogrpahers and an equal number of ladies. I'm ideally looking for ladies who both model and will perform for 8-10 minutes in total.
Each model/performer will be working on a TF* basis with a payment to cover expenses (your show is effectively subsidising the venue hire etc for the group shoot). The expenses payment will be £20 for the afternoon and the same again for the evening performance.
Additionally, you will receive a high-rez cd of non-watermarked images for your portfolio use. Finally, if this is successful it will be repeated and I would request (and this is totally optional) that I could have your permission to use images of you for potential use in a book of the event(s) in the future – any book profits would be for charity.
