I did get rather too gored onstage at Dr Sketchy's during the Fringe. Fondant Fancy's gunshot wound ended up all over me.

I did my gorelesque routine last night and my blood squirter failed so I didn't get the full effect :-(

Damn I hate it when things don't go right!!!!!!!! People still seemed to enjoy it though :-)

I noticed you seemed a bit annoyed about the Lola! It looked fine though dont worry!
Personally I would describe my main style as classic cheesecake and comedy. I have occasionally ventured into gorelesque (thanks to the lovely Eva!) however I always keep elements of my true style in it.

Well I'm yet to actually perform but so far I would describe what I have been thinking & practicing as 'comic burlesque'. I'm not naturally graceful so a comical act comes over better to be honest although I'm sure my partner would disagree.

Without a proper description how could anyone promote their act? Also good descriptions mean the customers in the club/venue know roughly what sort of act to expect.

i think my routines are mostly in the comedic end of the spectrum with cutesy cheesecake-ish leanings... i also like (when my budget will allow!) oversized props...
like some of the others here i am not so drawn to straight glamourous striptease numbers as i feel my face automatically going into comedy expressions when i am onstage!

i just find my eyebrows shoot up in a comedy way so i look a bit like a blow up doll (all surprised!)... it's already started to give me wrinkles though! x
