Songs by Doris Day come to mind but I dont know any titles, or that song that Snow White sings as she tidies the dwarves house.

Is Def Leppards 'Pour some sugar on me' too rock/modern?

I googled it, and this is the link to a site with song lyrics containing the word "cake". Obviously you'll have to then track them down and listen to them, but it should be easier if you have some idea of what you're looking for!

Hope it helps,

Love, HUgs and strawberries,

Angel

Personally, I like the idea of "If I'd've known you were coming I'd've baked a cake" - it seems to have that 50's housewife feel...

(it's on the link I just posted)

Love, Hugs and Strawberries,

Angel

You only have to ask the witch and she will take you back to the decade of Elvis, Rock n Roll and all those cheesy housewife songs. First up is a "triple" Three different number 1's.

Did you enjoy that? OK How about Alma Cogan?

Notice they have a dance theme? Groovy Granny?
Doris Day was mentioned, listen to this:

You know that mature bit of oomph, name of George Clooney? In the fifties his aunt was just as famous, but as a singer.
Here she is on another of those "multiples" Rosemary is second up.

Who else? well the fifties wouldn't be the fifties without Connie Francis.

And ofcourse there is Jo Stafford, fabulous:

And finally Dinah Shore, whose voice and presence reminds me of our own Meg La Mania:

Still not happy, well go back to any of the songs and surf the links on YouTube. Enjoy.xx
