Rubber- i want to pick your brains!
OK, i've got some lengths or rubber (latex) fabric left over from a previous project that i don't know what to do with. It's fascinating stuff to work with as you don't stitch it, you glue it and it has no grain so you can't sew it like normal fabrics.
But i'm at a loss what to do with it. Can anyone suggest some ideas? I've got black, red, pink, purple and pewter. (I wish i'd ordered some khaki green- it would've made some great psedo-military uniforms!) Maybe bounce around some themes or garments that i can experiement with.

Ooooh try some rubber corsets! Imagine a shiny pink or red rubber waist cincher, it's be beautiful!
And you could always do some military style uniforms or tops in other colours - black or pewter would be very nice.
I'd certainly be interested to see what you'd do with the fabric, I've got a bit of PVC in my wardrobe but never been able to find anything rubber that's attractive and affordable, so let us know what you decide to do!

I use my latex scraps for making 50s-inspired halterneck bras, tuxedo waistcoats, shoe covers (like wristbands to go over high-heels)...
I'm also trying to find time to play around with making a hood with kitty ears...
Fleur's ideas sound fun, but I imagine your latex is .33mm, and in which case, it's far too thin for hats or corsets. But that said, if you bought thick latex, specifically for hat making (e.g. 1mm or 1.2mm) it's probably too thick for my suggestions!!

Ideas
I got the black and red in two thicknesses for different purposes, so i think i'll have a play around & see what works best in what way. I certainly like the idea of mini top hats though i'll have to back them onto blocking net for support. Fans could be fun as well- i will have a browse through the other topics to see what's to use for the staves.
I'm surprised at how well rubber drapes too, i'm working on some accessories with little pink gathered rubber frills. It looks cute as well as fetish-y at the same time!
Beatrix- Did you get the latex from 4D Rubber in Derbyshire? I think they must be the premier (if not only) worldwide rubber manufacturers/ suppliers.
