I went to the opening of a new club in my home town of Torquay on Friday night. I got chatting to the owner about Burlesque and asked him if he'd consider doing a Burlesque night in the club. He seemed quite interested and asked me to see if I could drum up some acts and then he'd see about possibly holding a night there.
So... would people be willing to travel to Torquay for a Burlesque Evening? To perform?
It's not set in stone that he will do it but he asked me to get back to him and let him know if people are interested. (I'd be performing of course!!)
Lovely, well, if it goes ahead we can sort travelling and things like that, and providing you like cats you are all welcome to stay in my seaside abode. Sea-view and everything ;-)
I shall speak to the club owner and beat him into submission so that he will give us his club for the night!!!
I would love to perform at this club... I spent my childhood summers in Devon, in Sidmouth and Exeter near Torquay and would love to be able to have an excuse to venture down south!
