I bought myself one of those all in one step exercise machine thingies and keep telling myself that I'll start up a regieme. It now sits in the back of my wardrobe covered in shoes.

Same sort of thing with the diet too really...'I don't need cake/chocolate/sugar/alcohol' (ie what I live on)

I regularly tell myself that the dust-gathering accordion that I spent nearly a grand on last year is definitely a good investment, that it is going to played very soon and I will learn all the songs from amelie on it. ( I ran away from my accordion teacher last year and never went back - I feel so bad.)

I love the Amelie soundtrack....You should learn to play it, then at least if you ever need quick cash you can busk! ( there is an accordion busker in my hometown, Ayr, but he mostly plays "normal" music...I'd certainly throw money his way if here were playing something niche like La valse d'Amelie... )

How appropriate, you fight like a cow!

I don't drink too much, I don't have an unhealthy diet, I won't die, chips off other people's plates do not have calories, ice cream is good for you because it has calcium in it and that I will marry Julian McMahnon as well as my already lovely husband and it will be perfectly legal!!

I have a new one- now that i'm tea-total, junk food is actually healthier and not bad at all.

Also, I haven't gotten too chubby for my jeans from all the free pizzas, burgers and chips at work, there's just something wrong with the zip (although now they've stopped giving us staff meals, the zip moght fix itself).

1) This year I will lose my virginity.
2) I will have that bath promised myself a year ago.
3) One day I will be a burlesque superstar and run the MoB.
4) George Bush and Tony Blair are nice, trustworthy, honest and peace loving politicians.

You are soooo mistaken! It isn't that chips off other people's plates have no calories, it is that the calories belong to the person whose food it is! So, if you have chips off someone else's plate, then the calories are theirs, but the best way to diet is to get yourself round to other people's houses and stuff yourself with their food - no calories at all for you!

...I can buy that dress because it is a career investment so it doesn't count as spending money I don't have, oh and those shoes too, as you have to have matching shoes, oh and that necklace, that handbag too. But it's ok as it's an INVESTMENT...

I am the BEST at convincing myself I can afford to buy things, then I wonder why I get paid on 25 of the month and have no money left by the 1st.... ;-)

and who hasn't done the "I'm going to eat all this pizza/chinese/ice cream and I'll just not eat for the rest of the week to make up for it, apart from dinner as I have to have dinner, oh and lunch, otherwise I'll have nothing to do in my lunch break" ;-)
