Ladies, I have been bad, very very bad! I was going out for sensible Bodycare type things, I even withdrew some actual cash (something I never have on me normally - I spend it too easily) so that I didn't do my usual "oh I need to spend over £5 to use my card at Lush, best make it an even tenner then..." as I only really needed one item from them (although if there are any Lush-aholics out there, they are giving away a free soap of you chose with every purchase - fantasic!).

My down fall was going into Oasis, where I bought a dress so beautiful, I may have to get my bloke to photo me in it just so I can post it in the 'art' section - it really is divine! And I got a fabulous feathered hair piece for a fiver instead of £22! You just can't pass that kind of thing by!

On a more angelic note, I was queuing up in La Senza with a rather nice red silk set in my mitts when I remember my underwear-to-bank balance ratio - well ladies, I put the set back on the rack and left the shop - I don't think I've ever resisted underwear before, I deserve another drink for that I reckon...

i may have to cry if aforementioned dress is one of the oasis pure silk strapless ones with the little waist tie. Had my heart set on the black and cream one for months....

ahh shiny pretty dresses. I've just forcibly evicted myself from town to avoid spending my flat deposit!!!

Cherry, am impressed by your resisting temptation but after careful contemplation, have now realised that the only reason you must've put it back was because you saw something far more gorgeous in another shop window and realised that if you didn't get it there and then, it would go!!

Actually it was a combination of the hideously long queue complete with bratty kids pulling at everything of the rails in front of them (while being ignored by their mother of course), the knowledge that I still had two shops that I actually needed to buy stuff in, and the fact that I had almost the same underwear already, just not in silk...

To be honest Bella it was your fault I was buying underwear in the first place (stick with me, I may yet be using this excuse if I happen past some more with a less long and child-intensive queue) - I spent ages going through my drawers to find something to wear for the lesson on Thursday and came to the conclusion that the majority of my underwear is actually quite indecent, and the ones which aren't more often than not have sheer backs, so for the sake of decency I was searching for more crowd friendly knickers (does anyone buy that as an excuse?)

Nope, your lovely old grey ones would've done just fine
