Hello Lovely,

I wish I could say I have the best job ever but that would be a lie. I did animation in college and then went on to qualify as a computer animator and had dreams of working for Pixar. I set about working on my portfolio but the more time I spent glaring at a computer screen and speaking to my college buddies already working in the industry the more I realised I wanted to be out meeting people. The freedom to be creative is lacking in a majority of the games and movie industry as you are told what to do and not really allowed to express much more than the task you are given. I had a crisis of destiny and finally made the decision to knock animation on the head. I currently work in an office as an account manager but am looking for work in the web design and marketing industry in Bristol or Birmingham (to be closer to the Burly events held in these cities) so that I will still be involved in a creative process but make use of the business and client care skills I have aquired in recent years.

However, I have been working for BlindLemonVintage doing the Vintage fashion fairs which have been great fun and I do alot of event work locally on the weekends so who knows where that might take me. I also want to set up my own online business selling costumes and maybe clothing with a hint of vintage and burlesque. I am keen to paint again too as I miss it very much and will hopefully have some pieces done in the New Year in a similar style and format to Gil Elvgrens work which I hope to sell.

I admire anyone that can earn a living from performing as you will always be doing something you love and getting paid for it and performing must be such a rush. I was a thief in a production of 'Ali Baba and the forty-ish thieves' (because there were only six thieves !!) when I was in my teens and loved every minute of it. Not sure I have the right credentials to pull off a fan dance !! I'll leave that to you lovely ladies !!

well to be a lady of lesure would be nice, but not sure there is any such thing really.
I have two lovely daughters, and just inherited a dog from my auntie
who died last weekend. have been married once ( just getting divorced)
and yes so I have to work, burlesque does'nt really pull in the cash
by the time you've paid for transport and costume bits.
I love putting together my costumes and that cost money as we all know.
so I also work in rather a strange job, editing and chatting to people on
teletxt chat page and gaydate tv. xx

I'm an art student which keeps me very busy - but also thankfully connected with ideas and materials constantly. I sort of vascillate between working on my burlesque kit and my art during the course of the day.
To keep afloat financially I work at a local gallery in education, and I teach workshops in alternative photographic processing (like 1800's retro). It's not much money but its enough for now.

Well, aside from doing Burlesque I'm mother of a very hyperactive but utterly amazing (I would say that!) 3 year old boy.
For £ I sing, life model & also work as a stripper/lapdancer. Stripping is NOTHING like Burlesque I must stress but it pays extremely well for very short hours and gives me the freedom to spend time with Jago & pursue my various artistic endeavors!
