Default Smooooooochy Night Out

Club Smooch last night was fabulous, so nice to see everyone dressed up for a night out in shirts and ties and corsets and heels!(Including my husband, well not the corset and heels bit)
The shows were varied and titillating and/or funny, the compere kept everyone interested and I especially loved the fan dance, the sparkly housewife and the lady at the end singing all that jazz'.
Apologies for not remembering the names but i do remember the acts!
Fantastic night out!

Baby Bones certainly did herself proud. It's just a shame that I spent the evening in a cold sweat, swigging from a bottle of cough syrup!

It was rather fitting that the lovely Dolly Rocket sang 'Fever'!

Well done all the acts too - much better than the rather overzealous security staff!

Yes, well done to everyone involved and I tip my dainty hat to Baby for her excellent organisation and stage management.

Dolly Rocket was fabulous as always - it was so good to see her again. There was a real mix of performance styles and a wonderful range of people with different levels of experience and burlesque interpretations.

The one pitfall was definately the security staff. Not only were they extremely rude to Jim Devereaux but their general attitude toward the patrons was very poor.

We were first to arrive at the venue (11.05 ish) and stood at the door for 30 minutes in the rain, despite Ms Blush asking the doorman to let us in so that I could assist her dressing etc.

As a result of our not getting in at the right time, and not having the required time to help out as arranged, we lost our table. However, it was a good thing in the end as we ended up by the bar and this gave me a great sense of Baby Bones' tirelss efforts as stage manager. Kudos Baby.

Last night was brilliant! Luckily didn't have to deal much with security staff but they did seem a bit mean.

Baby Bones, you're brilliant, thanks so much for organising this event and for having Puck and I perform, we're still on a high, more so now we've been able to sleep and recharge the batteries.

Everybody was fantastic, I was particularly impressed by Matt Wynter's live rendition of Minnie the Moocher *yum*

Oh oh, one thing. what was the name of the blonde girl who did a magic act/striptease? I believe her mum was the contortionist? I forgot to ask, but she was brilliant!

Anyway, rambled enough.thanks so much and I for one would come back ANYTIME!

*smooch* !

What a great evening!

Babybones what can I say, you did an amasing job!

It was also so lovely to meet so many people from these formums both backstage and in the audience!

The audience was great.

Only down side was the door staff attitude! :x

It was wonderful! such a fantastic night, thanks for putting on such a good show for such a good cause Ms Bones!

Kudos to everyone who performed, that was the best burlesque show Ive ever seen, everyone was brilliant! We sent our small but forceful friend Abi in to secure a table and a good job she did at getting one too!

James you werent the only one gargling cough syrup all night, i managed to get through the worlds supply of pain killers that weekend and still could only manage a lame croak whenever anyone tried to talk to me! Thats why i mimed hello and waved vigourously instead of coming over to chat to you and Kittie.and thats also why we didnt come to Mobstars and Molls, was really dissapointed that i was too unwell to go when i realised it was on! So apologies to everyone I didnt say hello to but really you were the lucky ones, you avoided my geeeeerms lol.

What was the name of the lady who won my painting again? Can anyone remember? I know she was a performer and she told me about a million times and i chatted to her on and off all night but my brain has been turned to snot.

Oh and Heather I hope you've been trying out those tassles, It was fab to see you again, sorry ive been lame at texting you back, weve had family visiting and its been non stop since i got back with work and stuff, we must talk about taking on Birmingham though!
xx

Ooh bugger - I didn't realise that you mimed hello. I know you were sitting somewhere at the back, but I'm afraid to say that for the majority of the time I was there, the room was totally spinning around me. Brandy and cough medicine don't really go together!

Never mind - it's a monthly night, so there will be other times!

Apologies Charlotte - I am a tad short-sighted and with so many Hot-Toddies kindly administered by Elvis's mum, that night I could barely see past James never mind to the other side of the room!

Do come along to the Hanbury for MoBstars and Molls on 14th December and we can get to know each other then.

I hope you feel better soon too.
