Where to find Lovely Lingerie for size 16+?

Hello all :WAVE: , I was wondering if anyone would like to share tips on where to find lingerie for us with size 16 plus hips.
What i'm really after is my first Suspender Belt, i've found this but was hoping that I could get some recommendations from you lovely people before I part with my cash 8)

Ive not really looked at What Kate Did before, they have some nice stuff :LOVE:

Are the corsets better value than FGM? Ive had my eye on one from there thats about £230ish but WKD have it for £125.

I love the Bullet Bras, do they go up bigger than a D anywhere?

FGM stock different brands - perhaps the one in the shop is a different brand than the WKD?

There is a thread on WKD corsets somewhere - use the search button for the forums on the bottom left of the page.

You really should try on corsets before you buy - it as much about shape/pattern as it is about size.

Any good corsetiere will make something up for you and your body - just ask!

I am also a 16+ (currently wavering between 16 and 18 on hips but a 16 on waist) and I buy all my retro underwear from What Katie Did, so they do cater for 16+. Their bullet bras are fab and go up to a DD/E and their suspender belts are a little cheaper than the one you have found and very comfortable - I have the pull on one and it really holds well.

I don't have a corset yet as I am still saving but I can highly recommend WKD for all other stuff.

Additionally their sizing is really clearly explained and the staff are incredibly helpful.

The other place I buy underwear, although not vintage style per se is www.figleaves.com. They have a good range and for a little extra will send you your purchases wrapped in tissue and a tiffany blue box with white ribbon - fabulous!

If you are in London, I'd suggest you go and try a couple of corsets and see what corset size you are, how they feel etc. Then if you like WKD you can order one and they do returns anyway, so go for it!

ebay has some decent online shops like viceisniceuk enchanted_oldies etc

use the search box with, for exapmple

suspender 6 strap and check whats in their shop: some have useful links showing what sizes they stock

I hate writing things about WKD here as it just looks like I'm trying to promote myself! However, as there are specific questions:

We don't supply Fairygothmother so the 2 corsets would be made by different manufacturers.

Enchanted Oldies bought several items from our Ebay store a few months ago and are probably reselling them. We used to stock the same suspender belts at those at Lovehoney but got rid of them all on Ebay when we started manufacturing our own (they are very good though).

We also supply Lovehoney (their prices are the same as ours) - just search under lingerie What Katie Did.

The bullet bras go up to an E in red and an F in black. However, anything over a D is rather hit and miss whether it will fit. Some girls go crazy over them, some girls think they're ridiculous - so we are looking at discontinuing the F cup once current stocks have gone. (Having said that you can always return them so there's not much to worry about).

Customer service is down to Gina who's an absolute dream to work with - I'll pass your message on!

Cooooool! Thanks Katie - I didn't realise WKD had an ebay store: or maybe just didn't find it yet

as a 36FF, I might come prowling to check those about to be discontinued F's but bullet bras might well be making a comeback with a bump from Bettie Page
