Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but, I want to make some fans out of material and I was wondering if anyone here may know what type of craft wire is best to use on them to help the fabric keep it's shape and not break when they are moved or shaken a bit.
Thanks in advance.

The Fan Museum in Greenwich offer advice and workshops on making fans. I have made material fans before with wire, they were a fixed shape and not concertinered like traditional folding fans- is this the sort you mean. The wire I used was covered in cord but I got it from the wardrobe in college so sorry, don't know where to get it. Its the same stuff that's used for wig bases and hat frames. Try haberdasheries or millenary suppliers.
Hope that helps a bit
