I cannot get any of my pictures to work as my avatar, they need resizing or something, but I don't know how to do it, which is why I have a picture of a slug. Any ideas on where I am going wrong?

do you have any photoshop programs on your pc?

like adobe photoshop or paintshop pro, if you go in to tools or something you can edit the size and resolution of you avatar.

it is probably something to do with that as I had the same problem when doing it myself, i think the size of your image has to be 20x 20 pixels.
so it has to be quite small, play around with them and shrink them and it will probably work
