I have found a great track to perform to. Plenty of bits to bump, pout and shimmy to. Its very rock though (which I do love). However I do have a niggle that I may be about to commit a Burlesque faux-pas.
I dont think the fact that its rock has anything to do with it, I mainly use rock tracks for my stuff its just a matter of playing up the burlesque side of things so that you keep it true. Or if you are doing a two track piece then just make the other really old style
I have no problem seeing a burlesque performance set to a rock tune as long as the entire piece works. Last month in NY there was a AC DC tribute sponsored in part by Wassabasco Burlesque with a nice variety of burlesque performers working with the band.
