Default Second hand pole required - ooer missus. . . .

I'm looking to buy a stand-alone pole for pole dancing.

The kind that have a base that you weigh down.

I don't suppose anyone has one for sale, or knows anyone who does, or can think of anywhere I could get one besides ebay?

They cost a fortune to buy em new from somewhere like mypole or pleasure poles.

wonderful idea. i myself would love one but live in rented accommodation . possibly a firemans pole.
with fireman . and . i digress.

A hem.

These are the companies that advertise in scarlet

wonderful ladies mag ms lamour was recently in.

Anyhoo.

try these for an estimate

www.kitten-kit.com

height adjustable and portable start at £139

tel :01992 577 346

www.pleasurepoles.co.uk

semi and fully removable . traveling and rotating . ? huh

prices start at £149

Or
www.myploe.co.uk

no price on this one honey but they have a range of poles and a dance school and instructional dvd.

Or you could try getting an estimate from a steal works.
Or ask your local mancs clubs who there providers were.

come to think of it ,
i'm living with a pole at the moment.
He's lovely but has a fixation with TESCO.
He's about 5/9 But i haven't tried the swing on him yet.

Cheers but I've tried all those websites already - and it's a pole that has a base and stands alone that I need.

Not the type that fix to the floor and ceiling.

It needs to be portable.

If I was a decent enough magician I could do the Indian rope trick, and use that . . . .

Now looking at the post again . you'd looked at two of them . duh.

Oh well. The kitten pole might be good.
And you can borrow mine if you bring him back.

Uch ! worked too long a shift to be typing.

Seriously though ask your local clubs .

lightbulb !

Why not try looking for an american pole company.

You'd have to pay the weight in shipping but the $2£ ratio could save you 40 to 70 bucks.

Good luck X

£652!? That's appalling considering how basic it looks and the fact that it needs to be weighted.

www.platinumstages.com

I know people have had a few problems with orders in the past but I imagine they've ironed out the shipping problems now. I don't know of anyone that's unhappy with a stage that's been bought from Platinum. I'd have one myself if I had the space.

Cheers Hestia, and they actually have a warehouse in Bristol too, so that'll reduce shipping costs !

I love the way they say in their press blurb that the pole base can also double as a coffee table !

"Why yes vicar, that coffee table IS a pole base - should I put the pole in for you?"

If you need a pole that is portable ie not fixed to your floor and ceiling, why not try an X-Pole. They use pressure on the ceiling joists to stay put, I have one in my bedroom and it's fantastic. Apart from a small dirty mark on the ceiling that wipes off, there are no permenant fixtures and no damage at all. They cost around £150 but I needed an extension cos I have high ceilings, but that was less than £15. I would definately recommend it, and as long as a place has a real ceiling ie not suspended and you have a joist locater, you can use it pretty much where you want. Look at www.verticaldance.co.uk for more details.
