The best thing I think to do is research burlesque and go to as many performances as you can. Burlesque covers a very broad spectrum so find out what part it is that really appeals to you. Start thinking about what kind of act you want to do. Talk to as many people as you can and find out how and why they got into it. Enrole in some classes near you.
The most important thing is dont be scared. Everyone here is very supportive and always willing to take time to talk. I havent been here very long and I've only just started classes but all the established performers are extremely supportive. Just let your enthusiasm take over.
