[align=center]Now my bloke would say its not burlesque without tassels or if someone wears tassels they are trying to be 'burlesque' I see his point but I'm still teaching him about it al,l its not just the tassels, theres many aspects to it and they can all be used to make a routine but what to you makes a burlesque routine? What do you look for?

I think burlesque can be so many things, its all the performers interpretation in their choreography, style, personality so it ends up being a very unique individual thing.
